Job description

Enterprise Architecture & Governance

  • Be part of the LS IT Marketing & Sales , defining guiding principles, reference architectures, and governance frameworks for AI (Agentforce and Merck's own myGPT).
  • Translate business use cases into enterprise-level Agentic solutions that scale across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud. Including other applications like SAP, Genesys, UIPath
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and security standards in alignment with Merck KGaA’s enterprise IT and regulatory requirements.

AI-Driven DevOps & Automation

  • Architect multi-agent DevOps pipelines , integrating Agentforce, MCP, and LangChain frameworks to automate packaging, testing, and deployments.
  • Embed Agentforce HITL (human-in-the-loop) patterns for secure, auditable automation in regulated contexts.
  • Automate security and infrastructure processes including IP-range updates, Named Credential management, and TLS / JWT flows.

    • Data Cloud & Agentforce Innovation

  • Design Data Clean Rooms and enrichment pipelines for compliant 2nd- and 3rd-party data usage in life sciences.
  • Implement conversation-aware Agentforce bots , enabling compliant, secure patient and customer interactions.
  • Integrate external vector stores and AI models for smarter, context-rich Salesforce automations.

    • Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Partner with business leaders, commercial, and IT functions to align architecture with enterprise roadmaps.
  • Mentor architects, developers, and administrators; build capabilities in AI-augmented Salesforce delivery .
  • Champion innovation in Salesforce & AI while ensuring risk management, auditability, and compliance .
