Maruti Suzuki India Limited subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation to produce automobiles in India, has completed construction of the Plant C, and started production from April 2021. Maruti Suzuki India Limited Gujarat plant was established in March 2014, aiming to secure production ability in preparation for the automobile market growth in India, as well as for expansion of exports from India. Plant A started operating in February 2017, and Plant B and Powertrain Plant in January 2019. In October 2020, MSIL GJ became the fastest production site of Suzuki to achieve accumulated automobile production of 1 million units.

About the Role Looking for the Weld Process Engineering professionals to drive Kaizen in existing process, Line trial for new Model introduction in weld shop operation.

Responsibilities Weld shop layout preparation, Jig Planning sheet preparation for new jigs, modification jigs. Validation of Cycle Time of each station during Line trial. Confirmation of Spot Positions & Weld Quality by performing destructive & Non-Destructive test. Prepare Robot teaching plan for spot position accuracy in trial. Local Equipment plan and spec sheet preparation and procurement. Line tact up plan preparation and robot teaching. Carry out trial and validation for pallet, trolley for material handling. Installation and commissioning of Jigs, equipment, line as per schedule. Prepare nugget sheet, drawings for weld body destructive test. Update new weld parameters to controller for new model, RM change trial.

Qualifications Academic Background: B.E./ B. Tech – Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 6-8 years.

Required Skills Welding Process Engineering. Basics of Jigs and Fixtures. Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing. PPAP. ISO 9001 Quality systems. Machine design fundamentals. 3D software working experience (NX/ CATIA). AutoCAD is preferable.
