Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Senior Accounting Analyst. The Senior Accounting Analyst will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role manages accounts receivable and payable, leads month-end and quarter-end closings, maintains general ledger accounts, and prepares internal financial statements. The position collaborates closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, supports financial analysis and ad hoc reporting, and ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The ideal candidate identifies opportunities for process improvements and contributes to the overall efficiency and integrity of financial operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Accounting:
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Record and track all financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliation for all accounts, ensuring transaction accuracy and integrity.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Lead month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reports.
• Create essential financial entries, including PPD, Depreciation, and Accrual Journal Entries.
Budgeting & Cash Flow Management:
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reviews.
• Monitor bank account balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
• Approve appropriate Accounts Payable (AP) and Account Receivables (AR) amounts based on available funds.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external auditors/accountants.
Process Improvement
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance financial operations and efficiency.
Qualifications
Software:
Yardi Breeze (preferred)
Education:
MBA (Finance), CA, CPA, ACCA, B.Com, M.Com, or Master’s in Real Estate, Business, or Economics (preferred)
Real Estate Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of real estate accounting processes and Familiarity with investor reporting.
- Hands on experience of office properties month end closing process.
- Proficient in data collection, validation, and auditing.
- Up-to-date on industry trends and real estate market.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently.
- Work effectively under pressure and make rational decisions.
- Strong written and oral communication for reports, presentations, and professional correspondence.
- Ability to convey technical or numerical data clearly to teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse, collaborative teams
