Job Title: Manager – Government Business Location:
New Delhi (Preferred) / Pan-India Responsibility
Role Overview The Manager – Government Business will be responsible for driving growth across central and state government institutions by managing tender opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring successful participation in public procurement processes. The role will focus on strengthening the company’s presence in national programs, research institutions, and government-funded national and regional projects
Key Responsibilities 1. Government Tender Management Identify, track, and evaluate
government tenders
(Central & State) relevant to the product portfolio Manage end-to-end tender lifecycle: Ensure compliance with tender requirements and regulatory norms
2. Institutional & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with National program offices, Government agencies, Public sector research institutes, Funding bodies and procurement departments Engage in
pre-tender discussions
to understand requirements and align solutions
3. Business Development Identify opportunities within Government healthcare programs, Research & academic institutions and Public procurement platforms (GeM, CPPP, etc.) Develop strategies to
increase win rates and market share
in government business
4. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Sales teams (regional execution), Regulatory & QA teams (compliance support) Ensure timely availability of all required technical and commercial inputs
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and tender outcomes Provide insights on Pricing strategies and Market demand trends
6. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all submissions meet
government compliance standards Maintain proper records of bids, contracts, and communications Stay updated with procurement policies and regulatory changes
Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of
government procurement processes (GeM, nprocurement tenders) Relationship management with public sector stakeholders Analytical thinking and attention to detail Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
Educational Qualification Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in
Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related field MBA (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience 3–8 years
of experience in: Government sales / institutional business / tender management Preferably in
life sciences, diagnostics, lab equipment, or pharma industry
