Job Summary

SK Khetan Infra Projects is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Head to lead our underground mining operations at Hindustan Zinc Limited. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale underground mining projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, productivity, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, from planning and execution to final delivery, while managing a large team and liaising with key stakeholders at HZL.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution : Oversee all aspects of the underground mining project, including development, production, and infrastructure. Ensure project milestones, timelines, and budgetary goals are met. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and schedules.
• Operational Excellence : Drive productivity and efficiency in all mining activities, such as drilling, blasting, mucking, and transportation. Implement best practices and innovative mining technologies to optimize operations.
• Safety & Compliance (SHE) : Champion a "safety-first" culture. Ensure strict compliance with all Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) regulations and company safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for the client (Hindustan Zinc Limited). Maintain strong professional relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, mine managers, supervisors, and operators. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Financial & Resource Management : Manage the project budget, control costs, and ensure financial profitability. Oversee the procurement, allocation, and maintenance of heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM) and other critical resources.
• Reporting & Documentation : Prepare and present regular progress reports, performance analyses, and forecasts to senior management and the client. Maintain accurate project documentation as per statutory and company requirements.
