Job descriptionAbout the Role We are looking for a seasoned Microsoft 365 Collaboration & AI Service Lead to own and drive enterprise-wide collaboration platforms and AI enablement. This role requires end-to-end ownership across strategy, roadmap, governance, and operations, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing digital workplace services aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities Own collaboration platforms across the enterprise including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and AI capabilities within the ecosystem Define service strategy, roadmap, and operating model while ensuring alignment with business priorities and workforce needs Take ownership of platform decisions, prioritization, and changes while balancing user experience, security and compliance, and cost efficiency Drive AI adoption and readiness across collaboration platforms Ensure safe and responsible AI deployment in partnership with Identity teams, Security, Legal, and Data Governance Define foundational requirements for AI success including clean and structured content, permission models, information architecture, and governance alignment Lead enablement through training programs, adoption strategies, and clear usage frameworks Own reliability, performance, and overall service health Define and track KPIs, SLAs, user experience metrics, and adoption trends Work closely with support and operations teams for incident management, problem management, and change management Lead root cause analysis for major issues and ensure preventive and corrective actions are implemented effectively Define configuration standards and guardrails for all collaboration services Ensure consistency across tenants, regions, and workloads Align configurations with enterprise architecture, security policies, and Zero Trust principles Ensure standards are documented, easy to consume, and enforced through tools and policies
Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of total experience with recent 5+ years as a Microsoft Engineer working on M365 collaboration services in enterprise environments Deep hands-on experience managing Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive, including their integrations and dependencies Proven experience in end-to-end service ownership and accountability covering strategy, roadmap, operations, and platform decisions Basic understanding of AI and experience enabling or operating AI-powered productivity tools including data access models, permissions, information architecture, and content hygiene Strong IT Service Management experience covering incident, problem, and change management along with defining and tracking SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics Experience defining configuration standards, governance, and guardrails aligned with enterprise architecture, security policies, and Zero Trust principles, along with awareness of compliance, data retention, eDiscovery, and privacy constraints
Skills Required Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills to work across IT, Security, HR, Legal, and business teams as a single point of accountability
Preferred Qualifications Microsoft certifications in M365, Teams, Security, or Modern Workplace Experience supporting global or multi-region environments Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jira, or equivalent
