Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Federal Proposal Writer with a strong background in U.S. federal contracting. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of proposals, and deliver compliant, high-quality submissions with minimal oversight. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, not a training or entry-level opportunity. Candidates must already have direct experience working on U.S. federal proposals and understand the expectations, structure, and compliance requirements involved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead full lifecycle proposal development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI analysis, compliance review, content
development, and submission
• Interpret and ensure adherence to FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) clauses and requirements
• Independently manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, SMEs, and clients to gather inputs and develop responses
• Translate technical and business inputs into clear, compelling, and compliant proposal narratives
• Align responses to both agency objectives and client capabilities
• Develop and maintain proposal artifacts including outlines, compliance matrices, and content libraries
• Ensure all submissions meet federal compliance standards and evaluation criteria
Required Qualifications (Must-Have):
• Minimum 2+ years of direct experience in U.S. federal proposal writing
• Must have independently handled and completed at least 20 to 40 U.S. federal proposals end to end
• Strong working knowledge of FAR clauses and federal compliance requirements
• Experience working with Federal GWACs (Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts)
• Hands-on experience with solicitation platforms such as SAM.gov and other federal procurement portals
• Familiarity with proposal tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration platforms
• Demonstrated ability to connect agency requirements with client solutions effectively
• Strong understanding of evaluation criteria, compliance matrices, and proposal structuring
• Prior experience working in U.S. federal contracting environments is mandatory

• Must be available to work U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. This is nonnegotiable

• Candidates with general content writing, commercial proposals, or non-U.S. government experience will not
