Job descriptionProduct Manager - Credit Builder Work experience - 5+ years (3+ years in product management is a must ) Domain - Product management About Role We’re looking for a seasoned product manager to own our Credit Builder product end-to-end helping everyday consumers build, repair, and strengthen their credit profiles. Credit domain expertise is the foundation of this role. AI is not an afterthought: it’s woven into how we personalise experiences, coach users toward better financial habits, and scale outcomes . You will own both the core product and the AI-powered layer on top of it. Core responsibilities A) Product ownership - Own the Credit Builder product roadmap — prioritise features that directly improve credit score outcomes, user retention, and activation rates for new-to-credit and credit-repair segments - Define and track the right success metrics: credit score improvement rates, on-time payment rates, product engagement and churn metrics - Lead deep customer discovery with underbanked, credit-thin, and rebuilding-credit consumers. Translate nuanced financial anxieties into product opportunities and work closely with the marketing team to tap into the right customer cohort and align product roadmap - Work closely with Third parties, Backend engineers, Data scientists, UI designers and front end developers to launch new features and monitor closely on Key KPI’s defined for success - Drive the full experimentation program — hypothesis-driven A/B tests on onboarding, repayment nudges, Credit building tips, and reporting features. - Closely monitor the Data sanity across the third party data source and the features logic - Conduct regular product market fit research to continuously evolve the product - Owning the User communication front - Campaign on Email / Push notifications/ SMS etc . B) AI layer integration - Define the AI product strategy for Credit Builder: identify which user problems are best solved through intelligent automation, personalization, or predictive nudging — and build the roadmap accordingly - Partner with data science and ML engineers to design, ship, and iterate on AI-driven features: personalized credit coaching, smart repayment reminders, risk-adjusted limit graduation, and behavior-based interventions - Own the quality bar for AI outputs — define what “good” looks like for model recommendations, set evaluation criteria, and hold the team accountable to user outcomes, not just model metrics - Ensure AI features meet fairness, explainability, and compliance standards. Work with legal and risk to audit models for bias and document decisions for regulators - Instrument AI features with the right telemetry — track recommendation acceptance rates, downstream score impact, and user trust signals to drive continuous improvement Must Have - 3+ years in product management - consumer fintech, lending, or credit product background is preferable - Strong grasp of credit scoring mechanics (FICO, VantageScore) - Hands-on experience working alongside ML or data science, UI / design teams and backend engineering teams - Comfort with Python, SQL, Excel experimentation, and outcome-driven metrics - Experience shipping consumer mobile at scale Nice to have - Experience with secured cards, credit-builder loans, or BNPL - Worked with alternative credit data (rent, utilities, payroll) - Shipped AI/ML-powered features in a consumer product context - Familiarity with model cards, bias audits, or responsible AI practices - Experience at a neobank, CDFI, or credit union
