Senior Automation Engineer – Mobile

Mobile to design build and maintain robust and scalable mobile automation frameworks This individual will play a key role in advancing our mobile testing strategy and ensuring high-quality mobile application releases across Android and iOS platforms Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile applications using tools like Appium or similar Work closely with QA development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI CD pipeline Design and execute automated functional UI regression and compatibility tests across multiple devices and platforms Analyze and debug test failures identify root causes and work with developers to ensure timely fixes Contribute to the continuous improvement of mobile testing strategies frameworks and processes Ensure automation test suites are scalable maintainable and efficient as the application evolves Use tools like BrowserStack or LambdaTest for testing on real devices and simulators Collaborate with team members to define and adopt test best practices and coding standards Participate in code reviews for test scripts and ensure compliance with QA standards Qualifications Required Qualifications 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with 3 years focused on mobile test automation Strong hands-on experience with Appium or similar mobile automation frameworks Proficient in programming with Java or C Solid understanding of Android and iOS platforms and mobile testing challenges Experience with test management and defect tracking tools e g JIRA TestRail Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman Experience in integrating test automation into CI CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins Azure DevOps or similar Familiarity with Git GitHub or Azure Repos Knowledge of emulator simulator testing and working with real devices Preferred Qualifications Experience using cloud-based mobile testing platforms like BrowserStack LambdaTest or Sauce Labs Familiarity with Selenium Playwright or web automation tools a plus Exposure to working in Agile or DevOps environments Good communication and problem-solving skills Ability to mentor junior team members on automation practices Additional Information Values and Life at Xplor Our four core values -
