Job Description Job Title: IT Engineer Department: IT CARATS About Business Line/Function BNP Paribas Cardif is the insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas. We are looking for an IT Engineer to monitor and support application and infrastructure for our non-production French entities.The Infrastructure & Monitoring function is responsible for ensuring stability, performance, security and availability of application services throughout their lifecycle in non-Production environment. Operating in a continuously evolving technical environment, the team works closely with development and business stakeholders within an Agile and DevOps framework, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement Position Purpose The IT Operations & Application Support Engineer ensures applications monitoring and infrastructure optimization are carried out in accordance with the principles set out non-production management strategy for the components and/or applications assign to scope. The IT Operations & Application Support Engineer (Confirmed) operates with a high level of autonomy in a constantly changing technical non-production environment. The role requires strong learning agility, adaptability and the ability to continuously evolve alongside new technologies, tools and organizational changes. Primarily focused on IT Operations activities, the position also includes Application Non- Production Support responsibilities within the RUN scope. As part of this role, the engineer coordinates and plans RUN activities and regularly participates in IT–Business meetings to ensure alignment between technical operations and business needs. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities - Operate autonomously on day-to-day IT Operations activities, ensuring non-production stability and service availability. - Implement,configureand supervise monitoring, alerting and supervision solutions for applications and technical components. - Risksidentifyproactively and improvement opportunities andoptimizingnon-Production infrastructure resources (CPU, RAM) on Legacy and IT Cloud environment - Support development teams to secure and accelerate deliveries in an Agile and DevOps context. - Adapt to continuously evolving technical environments,toolsand practices bymaintainingup-to-date technical knowledge. - Identifyoperational issues (performance, flows, security, network) innon-production environment and contribute to corrective and preventive action plans. - Manage incidents and problems, ensuring efficient service restoration, coordination,communicationand root cause analysis Contributing Responsibilities - Participate in IT–Business meetings to understand business priorities,constraintsand operational expectations. - Provide technical and functional application support to users. - Contribute to problem management activities, including root cause analysis, actiontrackingand follow-up with stakeholders. - Support release preparation, deploymentactivitiesand production transitions. - Maintain and update operational documentation,proceduresand knowledge bases. - Contribute to planning,prioritizationand coordination of operational and functional activities within the RUN scope. - Promote best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across teams. - Escalating to the French PHP Team whenrequired Technical & Behavioral Competencies Technical Competencies - Incident support: ITIL Concept, Service Now - IT operations and application production - Monitoring,supervisionand alerting tools with Dynatrace tools appreciate - Incident, problem and change management - Operationsystems :Linux ,Windows ,Mainframe in Production and non-production environments - CI/CD and release management tools: Argo CD, Jenkins, XL Release - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform - Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift - Operating systems: Linux and Windows - Configuration management and automation: Ansible - Scheduling and workload automation: Control-M - File transfer and data flows: CFT - Databases: Oracle / SQL - Application performance analysis: logs,tracesand events - Release and deployment processes in Agile / DevOps environments Behavioral Competencies - Strong problem-solving skills - Ability to work underpressure onmajor incidents - Customer / service-oriented mindset - Strong autonomy and sense of ownership in production environments. - Ability to learn quickly,adaptand evolve in a constantly changing technical context. - Solid understanding of IT Operations andapplicationproduction constraints. - Strong coordination and planning capabilities within RUN activities. - Effective communication with IT stakeholders. - Ability to manage priorities andoperateefficiently in complex environments. Specific Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience.
