Role: Chartering Operations & Demurrage Claims Manager (Liquid Bulk) Full-time | Remote/WFH (India) We're looking for a Chartering Operations & Demurrage Claims Analyst with a strong background in managing liquid tanker , chemical shipments and handling Demurrage Claims and Recoveries. In this role, you will play a critical role in overseeing the smooth execution of shipping operations, ensuring compliance with documentary & safety requirements and optimizing efficiency throughout the process. Key Responsibilities: - Draft and review charter parties, vessel nominations, and voyage orders, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and contractual agreements. - Coordinate closely with ship brokers, counterparties, owners, traders, and documentation teams to facilitate seamless operations and timely communication. - Engage in daily communication with various stakeholders to provide updates on post-fixture activities, documentation requirements, and any operational challenges that may arise. - Maintain accurate time sheets and laytime calculations for each voyage, ensuring efficient utilization of vessel time and minimizing costs. - Analyze and respond to demurrage claims from vessel owners, and prepare/send demurrage claims to counterparties, actively following up for timely payments and resolution. Qualifications: - 1-3 years of hands-on experience in shipping and chartering operations, preferably with a focus on liquid tankers and chemicals while working in a ship broking house, trading house or shipping department of a producer. - Strong understanding of charter party agreements, vessel operations, and documentation requirements within the petrochemical trading industry. - Experience in Handling Demurrage Claims for Liquid Chemical Vessels and Fixtures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email communication. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is preferred. - Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
