Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join Intuit’s AI, Research, and Futures organization to build AI / Machine Learning solutions that leverage emerging new technologies and capabilities and unlock entirely new AI-driven experiences for our customers. You will be part of a vibrant team of AI Scientists and MLEs and lead efforts to translate cutting-edge research into robust, scalable AI systems that deliver measurable customer impact.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deploy robust end-to-end ML systems that operationalize cutting-edge AI research into production environments.

Architect scalable pipelines for data curation, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

Accelerate innovation by building rapid prototypes and hardening successful approaches into reliable, high-scale systems.

Ensure excellence in reliability, observability, and operational rigor through modern MLOps workflows (CI / CD for ML, model monitoring, retraining practices).

Influence key architectural decisions to evolve Intuit’s AI platforms and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.

Champion software engineering best practices, fostering technical excellence across the team.

Mentor junior engineers, supporting their growth in AI / ML engineering and system design.

Qualification

MS / Ph.D. in Computer Science with focus on Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.

5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning based solutions in production environments at scale.

Strong Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance.

Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala and proficiency with Coding Assistants like Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub CoPilot.

Experience with AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Google Agent Development Kit, and Model Context Protocol.

Basic knowledge of AI and Machine Learning principles especially Large Language Models and Multimodal Language Models with a focus on Natural Language Understanding and / or Computer Vision.

Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable Machine Learning systems on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure that support millions of users.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience and partner effectively with Data Scientists, Product

Managers, Program Managers, and Product Development Engineers to build solutions that delight our customers
