Job Description: Merchandiser (MBO & Pop Ups)
This role is the vital link between our curated designer portfolio and our MBO partners. You will be responsible for maximising sales through strategic stock management, maintaining seamless communication, and driving brand visibility through high-impact events and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel & Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for both MBO and independent designers.
• Facilitate daily communication regarding order status, production timelines, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate and manage placement terms to ensure premium visibility for our designer brands.
2. Inventory Control & Stock Optimisation
• Monitor real-time sales data to manage stock rotation between various MBO locations to prevent stagnation.
• Execute timely replenishments based on sell-through reports to ensure zero stock-outs on bestsellers.
• Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of stock movement, including QC checks and paperwork.
3. Event & Pop-up Coordination
• Concept and execute in-store pop-ups with MBO partners to drive footfall and brand awareness.
• Manage the calendar for designer appearances, trunk shows, and exclusive launches.
4. Exhibition Strategy & Management
• Proactively research and identify high-conversion exhibitions and trade shows.
• Handle the enrollment process for designers, ensuring all brand guidelines are met.
• Lead end-to-end coordination for exhibitions: from booth design and inventory selection to on-ground management and post-event sales closure/reconciliation.
Candidate Profile
• Experience: 2–4 years in Fashion Merchandising, specifically within the luxury or designer boutique segment.
Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Retail Math (calculating sell-through, margins, and stock-to-sales ratios).
• Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in Excel/Google Sheets for inventory tracking.
• Attributes: A "hustler" mindset with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines. You should have a keen eye for visual merchandising and current fashion trends.
