While manual testing is still important, there's an increasing focus on automating various testing types - functional, regression, visual, performance, and compatibility. As a Senior Technical Test Engineer, you'll take a leading role in our test automation initiatives, helping to drive quality across the board. Roles and Responsibilities - Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for both UI and API testing. - Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and acceptance criteria. - Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks using industry best practices. - Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues. - Review automation scripts and test execution results to ensure adherence to automation standards and best practices. - Leverage AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and overall QA productivity. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. - Document defects, test execution results, and project status updates clearly and concisely. - Drive continuous improvements in automation practices, testing processes, and overall software quality. - Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Demonstrate professionalism, ownership, and a proactive attitude towards delivering high-quality software.
