Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to anchor our retail pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will be responsible for drug dispensation, regulatory compliance, and overseeing medicine fulfillment — primarily through home deliveries via logistics partners like Shiprocket.
Work with a mission-driven, high-impact team at the intersection of healthcare and technology helping build and scale a critical part of our medicine distribution ecosystem from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Licensing & Compliance:
- Serve as the designated registered pharmacist for Allo Health's Retail Drug License application and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Act, and all regulatory norms for retail operations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of stock registers and dispensation logs as mandated.
Dispensation & Pharmacy Operations:
- Dispense prescribed medicines to patients accurately and ethically.
- Ensure appropriate packaging, labelling, and documentation for each medicine dispatch.
Home Delivery Fulfillment:
- Coordinate with the operations team and logistics partners (e.g., Shiprocket) to manage and track home deliveries.
- Ensure prescriptions are verified, approved, and matched to each outbound shipment.
- Manage re-dispensing, returns, and customer queries related to pharmacy orders.
Inventory Oversight:
- Maintain updated inventory records, ensuring medicines are stored as per required conditions
- Monitor batch numbers and expiry dates for all stock.
- Ensure FIFO/ FEFO inventory movement for medicines.
- Raise alerts for reorders, low stock, or expired items to the warehouse or procurement team.
Technology & Reporting:
- Use Inventory Management tools for all transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for the operations team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognised institute.
- Valid Pharmacist License registered in Karnataka.
- 1–3 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy or medical store (experience with online/tech-enabled pharmacies is a plus).
- Strong understanding of drug schedules, storage guidelines, and dispensing procedures.
- Comfortable using basic digital tools (inventory software, spreadsheets, etc.).
