Loan Servicing- Manager Department:

Role Overview: The Loan Servicing Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end post-disbursement loan operations, ensuring portfolio health, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The role requires strong expertise in NBFC lending processes, Bank reconciliation, RBI compliance, collections coordination, process optimization and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Servicing Operations Manage post-disbursement activities including loan booking, documentation verification, disbursement confirmation, and system entries in LMS. Oversee EMI scheduling, repayment processing, NACH/ACH setup, presentation and reconciliation. Monitor loan account maintenance, interest recalculations, part-prepayments, refunds and foreclosure processing. Handle restructuring, moratorium, and rescheduling cases as per policy. Understand and manage the co-lending disbursement and repayment flow.

Bank Reconciliation & Payment Controls Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations for collection and disbursement accounts. Reconcile customer repayments (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS/UPI/NACH) and ensure timely transaction posting in LMS. Identify and resolve unmatched transactions, suspense entries, and reversals. Coordinate with partner banks for transaction clarifications and chargebacks. Maintain reconciliation trackers and ensure zero long-pending items. Monitor escrow/trust & retention accounts (if applicable)

Portfolio Monitoring & MIS Track DPD buckets, overdue accounts and repayment posting (PAR %, delinquency trends). Prepare reconciliation MIS, collection MIS, and portfolio performance reports. Provide data for management reporting and financial closure. Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Regulatory & Audit Compliance Ensure compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines applicable to NBFCs. Maintain audit-ready documentation and respond to internal/external audits. Ensure accurate reporting to credit bureaus (e.g., CIBIL). Oversee grievance redressal mechanism as per regulatory norms. Ensure proper accounting treatment of repayments, write-offs, waivers, and reversals.

Customer Service Query Resolution & Stakeholder Coordination Supervise customer support for loan-related queries and ensure timely issuance of NOCs, foreclosure letters, and statements of accounts. Ensure TAT adherence for service requests. Coordinate with collections, finance, treasury, and IT teams. Manage escalations and maintain service quality standards.

Process Control, Improvement & Automation Strengthen internal controls around collections and disbursements. Identify and drive automation opportunities to reduce manual errors and improve turnaround time. Implement maker-checker controls and SOP standardization.

Team Management Lead and supervise loan servicing team members and ensure SLA adherence. Train team on new regulatory updates and process changes.

Preferred Attributes: Strong understanding of lending products and NBFC loan lifecycle. Expertise in bank reconciliation. Knowledge of LMS, payment gateways, and banking channels Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliation formats, formulas) Analytical mindset with attention to detail Understanding of Credit policies, RBI NBFC compliance requirements and regulatory framework. Strong leadership and stakeholder management, and good communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Must have Managed high-volume portfolio and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Required Qualifications: Graduate in Finance/Commerce/Business Administration MBA (Finance) preferred

Experience: 6-8 years of experience in Loan Servicing/Operations within NBFCs or banks. 1-2 years of team management.
