Position Overview

We areseekinga highly skilledSeniorSoftware Engineer to join ourBilling ITorganization inHyderabad, Indiaas a fullstack engineer responsible for implementing modern,cutting-edgearchitectural patterns across the application stack. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with architects and engineering teams to deliver highquality solutions aligned withThe Hartford’stechnology roadmap. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Java, Angular, AWS services, Oracle databases, API development, microservices, and eventdriven architectures, with a demonstrated focus on security, resiliency, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot and API integrations using AWS technologies.

• Develop modern, usercentric UI components following frontend best practices and accessibility guidelines.

• Create andmodifyUnix jobs that interact with Oracle backends.

• Create andmodifyOracle backendcomponents like procedures,packagesetc.

• Integration andunit testing in alignment withDevSecOpsbest practices.

• Triage issuesend-to-end, apply strong debugging skills to rapidlyidentifyroot causes and restore service.

• Develop and deploy solutions using AWS cloud services like AWS Lambda.

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and performance.

• Participate in Agile development processes, Partner with stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, test coverage, and adherence to engineering standards.

• Assistin documenting solutions, processes, and best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement and introduce innovative ideas that bring measurable business impact.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5-8years of experience in software engineering

• Mastered knowledge of Java best practices, standards, and design patterns

• Intermediate understandingof rules and rulesconfigurations.

• Intermediate level configuration of new maintenance and business objects without supervision

• Intermediate level of understanding ofunixandautosysbatchprocesses.

• Intermediate level ability to create new UI screens, ormodifyexisting ones

• Solid grasp of writingSQL queries, withproven experience using oracle database technologies.

• Experience withGithub: ability to create branches from the correct base branch, open PRs, perform code reviews, and resolve issues with local git setups if needed

• Intermediate level of experience interpreting application and batch logs

• Demonstrated ability to lead design, implementation, code quality, and delivery across distributed services in a hybrid environment.

• Ability toleverageAI tools and Copilot to improve productivity in day-to-day tasks, including development, debugging, documentation, and automation workflows

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in Agile teams.

• Security & Governance: OWASP standards, secure coding practices, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, encryption, APIC

• Integration & Messaging: SNS/SQS

• DevOps & Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

• Testing: JUnit,NUnit, integration testing, TDD/BDD

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform/Cloud Formations.

• Knowledge of rules frameworks, including configuration and maintenance, is a strong plus.
