Job Description – SME: Digital & Tech Capability Development (Hyderabad)

The SME – Digital & Tech Capability Development will play a pivotal role in strengthening workforce readiness for Welspun GCC's IT, B2B SaaS and Smart Manufacturing domains. This role will design and deliver future-focused technical, digital, and product capability programs while accelerating a strong engineering excellence and digital-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead capability development initiatives for IT, Software Engineering, Automation, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, IIoT and Smart Manufacturing functions.
• Design role-based technical learning paths and certification journeys aligned to IT/B2B SaaS & manufacturing technology skill frameworks.
• Manage Learning Management System (LMS) operations for tech training adoption, driving high usage of digital learning and virtual labs.
• Conduct biannual TNI/TNA specific to evolving tech stacks, product skills, and digital manufacturing capabilities.
• Partner with technical leaders, Product & CoE teams to build Tech Academies and SME-led capability acceleration programs.
• Drive training ROI, certification success, skill proficiency uplift and role readiness through analytics dashboards.
• Manage budget planning and optimization for digital/technical learning initiatives.
• Lead vendor management for specialized technology training providers ensuring quality and niche expertise.
• Deploy innovative and experiential learning models — hackathons, cloud sandboxes, codeathons, gamification, simulation-based learning, etc.
• Enable cross-functional digital skills like Agile, DevOps, Data Literacy, AI adoption across business and tech operations.
• Support Digital Leadership & Hi-Po programs for future architects, product leaders and technology managers.
• Drive change enablement for automation, smart manufacturing and digital transformation initiatives within GCC.
• Ensure post-training application through real-work assignments, project-based learning & skill verification mechanisms.
