Position: Accountant

Location: Mugappair West, Chennai (On-site)

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
• Handle import documentation accounting, Letter of Credit (LC) entries, and foreign currency transactions
• Prepare financial statements, GST returns (including IGST on imports), TDS filings, and customs duty compliance
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments (domestic & international), and customer billing
• Coordinate with banks for forex transactions, remittances, and trade finance documentation
• Reconcile inventory records with physical stock and manage warehouse accounting
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
• Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), FEMA regulations, and company policies

Requirements

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA (Inter or Final)
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance roles, preferably in import/trading/stockist business
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime, MS Excel (advanced), GST portal, and income tax filings
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, integrity, and ability to work independently
