Role Description

AlgoBotix is seeking a highly motivated UAV Pilot & Systems Engineer to join our Bengaluru team. This is a full-time, hands-on technical role combining flight operations, system integration, and product development. The candidate will be responsible for piloting UAV platforms, conducting field trials, integrating hardware and software systems, and supporting the development and validation of experimental prototypes. The role also involves structural design contributions for new UAV products and ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of deployed systems.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge UAV technologies across both development and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct UAV flight operations, field testing, and mission validation
  • Perform system integration of flight controllers, sensors, communication modules, and payloads
  • Design and optimise UAV structural components using CAD tools
  • Support the development of experimental setups and prototype builds
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Collaborate with software, electronics, and mechanical teams for product development
  • Document testing procedures, results, and technical improvements
  • Ensure compliance with aviation safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in UAV piloting and system integration
  • Strong understanding of drone hardware, flight controllers, and communication systems
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / CATIA or similar)
  • Familiarity with UAV platforms, autonomy systems, and ground control stations
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Internship or prior work experience in the drone industry is preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
