Job Title: Camera Person / Photographer – Political Campaign Coverage

Location: Chandigarh University, Gharuan, Mohali, Punjab

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Camera Person / Photographer to capture and create compelling visual content for political campaigns and related activities at Chandigarh University. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye, strong technical expertise, and the ability to produce engaging visuals that effectively communicate the campaign's message and spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality videos and photographs of campaign activities, rallies, speeches, interviews, and promotional events.
• Operate and maintain professional camera, lighting, and sound equipment.
• Plan and execute photo and video shoots in coordination with the campaign and media teams.
• Edit and produce short videos, reels, and photo content for social media and other digital platforms.
• Ensure proper framing, composition, lighting, and audio clarity for all visual content.
• Maintain an organized library of media files and digital assets.
• Collaborate with the content, social media, and PR teams to align visuals with campaign messaging.
• Provide live coverage or streaming support for key events, as needed.
• Ensure that all media production adheres to university guidelines and ethical standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Photography, Media Studies, Mass Communication, or related field.
• Proven experience as a camera operator, photographer, or videographer (portfolio or demo reel required).
• Proficiency with DSLR / mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio gear.
• Strong editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Good understanding of visual storytelling, political branding, and audience engagement.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple shoots, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in covering political or public events.
• Knowledge of social media video trends and content optimization.
• Familiarity with live streaming tools and techniques.
• Creative mindset with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and storytelling.
