Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a SDE-2 (Full Stack Engineer) at RoadMetrics AI's Bengaluru office, located at Cunningham Road, Shivaji Nagar. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end web development, as well as software development. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our CI/CD pipeline, Cloud development and infrastructure and Web-based GIS platform. From enhancing user experience to optimising backend systems, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our technical stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly performant product end-to-end with latest tech stack.
• Designing features, systems, infrastructure, deployment pipelines and build scripts as and when needed.
• Optimise for vast majority of current and future features to squeeze best-in-class performance from your code and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Own and deliver high quality features with design understanding and future modularity.
• Deliver quick working prototypes of new features, changes in a fast moving development environment.
• Have an opinion about code quality, create/maintain high standards which team can easily follow.
• Own and ensure maintainability of codebase, modules and systems
• Build and deploy APIs using AWS Lambda and manage infrastructure with AWS services like EC2.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 year of experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, node.js and JQuery in recent times.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Python is a must.
• Experience developing and deploying AWS Lambda functions and integrating them with APIs (e.g., API Gateway).
• Hands-on experience with AWS EC2 for deploying software services or data pipelines.
• Worked with or familiar with the use of various map service providers API to integrate with our own data. (Google Maps, MapBox or HERE Maps)
• Should be able to develop Android applications in Android Studio or code in Java.
• Must know and 'understand' the WHYs and WHATs of technologies you have used in last few years.
• Understanding of network connections, Rest APIs, system design and infrastructure pieces.
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/GCP) and VCS like GIT is a must.
• Understanding of SQL databases (MYSQL, Postgres or any other).
• Understanding and experience with optimizing code performance and system bottlenecks, with system design and design patterns.
• B Tech/BE or MTech and Computer Science, Information Technology/Science or equivalent experience.
• One years of experience working in a similar role.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, skill up and challenge status-quo.
