Role Overview

The Football Director, Punjab FC will provide strategic and operational leadership across the technical and performance functions of the First Team. This role combines deep football expertise with visionary management to ensure player development, coaching excellence, and team success within a sustainable and holistic framework.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technical and performance strategy aligned with Roundglass Sports' mission and vision.
• Lead decision-making across football operations, policies, and programs in response to market dynamics, growth opportunities, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure both short- and long-term objectives are strategically financed, resourced, and executed to achieve competitive excellence.

Technical & Performance Development

• Oversee the technical, tactical, and physical development pathways for First Team players.
• Lead and mentor coaching and support staff — including coaches, trainers, medical teams, and tutors — to ensure consistent standards of performance and professionalism.
• Drive the coach development program, fostering continuous learning and innovation.
• Supervise the Scouting Department, ensuring structured recruitment, evaluation, and progression of players for the First Team and Youth Academy.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of the player performance and scouting database to guide informed decision-making.

Operations & Infrastructure

• Manage the construction, renovation, and optimization of sports facilities to meet world-class performance and safety standards.
• Implement operational and performance plans based on Academy KPIs and First Team targets.
• Drive process efficiency and cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall football operations.

People & Culture

• Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and growth, attracting and developing top athletic and professional talent.
• Lead by example, inspiring teams through mentorship, accountability, and shared purpose.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in a technical leadership or performance management role within professional football or elite sports environments.
• In-depth understanding of player development systems, scouting structures, and coaching methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement high-level strategies that drive team and player success.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Passion for advancing Indian football through innovation, professionalism, and holistic wellbeing.
