Job Title: Senior Plant & Layout Engineer

  • Location: Gothenburg, Sweden
  • Duration: long term, onsite.
  • Number of positions: 1
  • Candidate location: resident of EU or Sweden. Read to relocate to Gothenburg, Sweden. If Indian candidate, should have ready work permit to travel.
  • Notice period: less than 30days.
  • Education : Bachelor's in Mechanical
  • Years of experience: 8 to 13years
  • Skills: Piping design, layouts, plant design
  • Tools: E3D, Autocad. Rohr- added advantage.
  • Experience in Paper pulp projects
  • Swedish code and standards experience : added advantage.
  • Swedish language spoken and written: added advantage.
  • Family relocation : YES

About The Role

As a Senior Plant & Layout Engineer, you will play a key role in our projects, with responsibility for developing, reviewing, and optimizing plant layouts and technical solutions. You will work closely with both Swedish and international colleagues, actively participate in project execution and proposal work, and act as a technical expert within your field.

Your Main Responsibilities Include

  • Designing and optimizing plant layouts and related mechanical solutions.
  • Conducting engineering analyses to ensure solutions meet project quality and productivity requirements.
  • Reviewing and approving drawings, models, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines to secure integrated solutions.
  • Identifying risks and implementing processes to meet project quality objectives.
  • Coaching and supporting junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinating and following up on subcontracted engineering work when required.

  • Strong skills in E3D, Rohr2, Comos, and AutoCAD.
  • A solid background in mechanical design, Piping design, or similar fields.
  • The ability to work independently with complex engineering tasks.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Swedish, spoken and written.
  • Experience working in international project environments.
  • A solution-oriented and detail-focused mindset, with the ability to mentor and inspire colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

The position is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden and will be part of the Plant Engineering team with colleagues in both Sweden and internationally. . The role will occasionally be travelling to different sites and requires a willingness to travel.
