About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who will lead design from 01 for our core product experiences. In this role, you won't just polish interfaces – you'll define what we build and how we build it, from a blank canvas to a full-fledged product. Imagine designing an AI tool that feels as intuitive and helpful as a teammate sitting next to you. You will be at the forefront of turning that bold idea into a delightful, tangible reality.

This is an onsite role in Chennai, where you'll work closely with our product and engineering teams face-to-face, while also collaborating with colleagues in Dubai and Madrid.

Key Responsibilities:

· Drive the design vision for Algo's products from concept to launch. You'll take initial ideas or problem statements and turn them into compelling user journeys and interfaces that realize our AI vision.

· Design end-to-end user experiences – from researching user needs and sketching

concepts, to wireframing, prototyping, and delivering high-fidelity UI designs. You

will craft every detail of new features, ensuring the product is intuitive, beautiful, and delivers real value.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and domain

experts. You'll be involved in early strategy discussions, contribute to product roadmap decisions, and then work hand-in-hand with engineering through development to ensure a high-quality implementation of your designs.

· Iterate based on feedback and data: In our feedback-driven culture, you will actively

collect and use input – whether from user testing, analytics, or team design critiques – to refine your designs. You might run quick usability tests, gather feedback from our beta users and iterate to get to the best solution.

· Establish design best practices: As a senior designer, you'll help build our design culture. This includes leading regular design reviews, mentoring junior teammates (as we hire more designers), and laying the groundwork for a consistent design language or system. You'll advocate for usability and accessibility, and ensure we maintain a high bar for craft as we scale.

· Stay hands-on and agile: In a true startup fashion, you'll wear multiple hats. One day,

you might map out an entire new feature; the next, you might tweak a button color after observing user behavior. You ship quickly and adjust gracefully, balancing big-picture vision with attention to fine detail.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

· Proven Product Design Experience: 7-10+ years' experience in product/UX design, with a track record of shipping impactful digital products. You have taken products or major features from zero to one (from idea to live product) and can speak to the success and learnings.

· Portfolio of End-to-End Projects: A portfolio that showcases your product design process and outcomes. We're interested in seeing how you've tackled ambiguous problems, generated insights, developed solutions, and iterated them based on feedback. (Tip: we love to hear the 'story' behind your projects, not just see final visuals.)

· UX s UI Excellence: Strong skills in interaction design, information architecture, and

visual design. You create clear, intuitive, and appealing interfaces that solve real user needs. An eye for detail is key – from high-level workflow to pixel-perfect UI, you ensure the experience is cohesive and delightful.

· User-Centric s Data-Informed: You obsess over understanding the user. You are experienced in user research methodologies or simply scrappy about getting user input – whether through interviews, surveys, or usage data. You can translate insights into design decisions, and you validate and improve your designs through feedback loops.

· Comfort with Ambiguity: You excel in undefined environments. Instead of waiting for perfect specs, you eagerly sketch and prototype to explore possibilities. You can navigate constraints (technical or business) creatively, finding innovative solutions when faced with open-ended challenges.

· Strong Collaboration s Communication: You work well in cross-functional teams and

can communicate design ideas and rationale clearly. Whether it's explaining your vision to a developer, brainstorming with a founder, or writing up design documentation, you articulate the 'why' behind your designs. You also listen and adapt – you welcome feedback and have strong beliefs, loosely held.

· Product Mindset: You think beyond design – considering product strategy, viability, and scope. You care about outcomes over outputs. Terms like MVP, user story, and KPI aren't foreign to you. You can balance craft with speed, knowing when to aim for perfection and when to ship a workable solution and iterate.

· Tools s Tech: Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (we use Figma for most work). Basic familiarity with front-end capabilities or willingness to learn is a plus – you understand the possibilities and constraints of building software, which helps in communicating with engineers.

· Bonus: Experience designing AI-driven or data-heavy applications, or a passion for AI/ML. Since our product leverages machine learning, a knack for making complex tech feel simple will be an asset. Also, prior startup experience or having been a first/early designer somewhere can be advantageous (you know the drill of building from scratch).
