Zerocoin Studios is seeking a highly motivated Market Research Intern for a 2-month period to conduct crucial market analysis for our upcoming video enhancement product. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Chennai-based student to gain practical experience in market research, competitive analysis, and direct industry engagement with Film makers and editors.
You will play a vital role in shaping our product strategy by gathering actionable insights from the market and directly from video editing professionals from Tamil Film Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Landscape Analysis: Conduct comprehensive secondary research to map the global and Indian video editing software market, identifying key trends, market size, growth drivers, and segments.
- Competitor Analysis: Research and profile direct and indirect competitors offering video enhancement tools and plugins, specifically analyzing their features, pricing strategies, target audiences, strengths, and weaknesses.
- User Needs & Pain Points: Gather insights into the specific needs, challenges, and desired features of video editors, users, regarding video enhancement capabilities.
- Field Visits & Interviews: Accompany our Founder/team to meet with professional video editors in Chennai.Conduct structured interviews to gather first-hand qualitative data on their workflows, pain points, and feature preferences.
- Must be fluent in Tamil language.
- Opportunity Identification: Synthesise research findings to identify unmet market needs and opportunities where our video enhancement plugin can offer a unique value proposition.
- Report Generation: Compile all research into a comprehensive market research report, including an executive summary, detailed analysis, and actionable recommendations for product features, positioning, and potential pricing strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a MBA, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship
- Must be based in Chennai and available for local field visits.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting interviews.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough online secondary research.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets/Slides) for data organization and presentation.
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work independently.
- A basic understanding of video editing software (e.g., FCPX, Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus, but not required.
