Deputy General Manager - Indirect Tax

Eligibility: CA / LLB with 7+ years of relevant experience (manufacturing preferred).

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Taxation professional with 7+ years of hands-on exposure to GST and Customs to be part of Taxation team in a new age Organization driving compliance, litigation management, Tax Technology implementation, policy and advocacy support and strategic business advisory.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze GST implications on transactions such as supply of goods/services, job work, inter-unit transfers, and exports
• Monitor changes in GST & Customs law and ensure timely implementation
• Manage GST Compliances, GST audits, departmental notices, and assessments, including drafting replies and submissions
• Handle advisories related to imports and exports, including classification, valuation, and duty structure
• Handle FTP matters, including export incentive schemes, authorizations, and related filings
• Support process improvements and tax automation initiatives using ERP systems and tax tools
• Maintain robust documentation, MIS, and support internal and statutory audits
• Experience in drafting policy and advocacy representations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CA/LLB
• 7+years of relevant experience in Indirect Taxation (GST & Customs)
• Experience in handling audits, notices, and departmental interactions
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, GST portal, ICEGATE, and DGFT systems
• Good drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Exposure to tax technology, ERP systems, and process automation
