Position Summary

The DP Music Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Diploma Programme Music curriculum, fostering students' musical understanding, creativity, and performance skills. The role involves guiding students in composition, performance, and critical listening, while preparing them for internal and external IB assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB DP Music curriculum
• Develop students' skills in performance, composition, and music analysis
• Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA) and portfolio work
• Prepare students for IB external assessments and examinations
• Encourage creative exploration across diverse musical genres and cultures
• Organize and support school concerts, recitals, and performances
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning opportunities
• Provide constructive feedback to support student growth
