Role Overview

This role goes beyond traditional technical support. You will act as a bridge between engineering and operations, focusing on automation, system reliability, and performance optimization. The role involves managing deployments, analyzing system data, and troubleshooting telecom infrastructure issues in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash for log processing, health checks, reporting, alert management, and self-healing systems
• Analyze CDRs, system logs, and platform metrics to identify trends, detect anomalies, and build actionable dashboards
• Manage Jenkins pipelines, including deployments, rollbacks, environment configurations, and release management
• Troubleshoot SIP/RTP-related issues such as registration failures, call quality issues, codec mismatches, NAT traversal, and RTP stream analysis using tools like Wireshark, sngrep, and Homer
• Provide L2/L3 production support, including incident response, root cause analysis, and permanent issue resolution
• Set up and maintain monitoring systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch with meaningful alerting mechanisms
• Maintain documentation including runbooks, escalation procedures, and knowledge base articles

Required Skills and Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in technical support, DevOps, or operations engineering in a production environment
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, with a focus on automation and operational tooling
• Experience in data analysis, including SQL, log parsing, and data aggregation; familiarity with tools such as pandas, Metabase, Grafana, or advanced spreadsheets
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines, including deployment strategies such as blue-green, canary, and rolling deployments
• Strong understanding of SIP/RTP protocols, including call flows (INVITE, BYE, REGISTER), media handling, codec negotiation (G.711, G.729, Opus), and IVR systems; experience with Asterisk or FreeSWITCH is preferred
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, including systemd, networking, firewall configuration, disk management, and performance troubleshooting
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, or CloudWatch

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments and scaling
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Exposure to AI/ML operations, including model deployment and inference pipelines
• Familiarity with WebRTC and real-time streaming systems
• Experience with Homer SIP Capture for VoIP monitoring
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Lambda
• Experience with observability platforms such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or New Relic
