Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Academic Essay Writing Tutor who can guide a student applying for a combined BS/MS program in Computer Science (University of Washington) and similar top university programs.

The tutor will help the student write 3 strong academic essays (500–750 words each) based on university application prompts such as academic goals, interest in the program, and why the student is a good candidate.

The role requires strong experience in academic writing, university applications, and guiding students in writing structured, impactful essays.

Student Requirement

The student needs guidance for essays based on prompts such as:

Why the student wants to pursue a combined BS/MS program

Specific areas of interest in Computer Science

Why the student is a strong candidate for the program

Future academic and career goals

Academic achievements and motivation

Key Responsibilities

Guide the student in writing 3 high-quality academic essays (500–750 words each)

Help the student structure essays clearly (introduction, body, conclusion)

Assist in improving clarity, flow, grammar, and vocabulary

Help the student express ideas in a strong and professional way

Review drafts and provide detailed feedback

Guide the student in writing essays suitable for top universities

Ensure the essays are original, clear, and well-structured

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience

Strong experience in academic/college application essay writing

Experience helping students apply to US universities is preferred

Excellent English writing and editing skills

Ability to guide students in expressing ideas clearly and confidently

Experience with Computer Science / STEM students is a plus

Pen tablet required for live online teaching and explanation

Tools & Work Mode
