Job description

Senior Manager HR, HR Business Partner,

Join a PE-backed B2B software business in the fraud prevention and digital risk space, hiring its senior HR leader for India as the region scales rapidly.

This is a hands-on HRBP role supporting high-performing engineering and product teams, with real ownership, senior stakeholder exposure, and the chance to shape how the India organisation grows. If you enjoy partnering with technical leaders, tightening operating discipline, and building strong people foundations in a fast-paced environment, this one is worth a look.

Company snapshot

A global enterprise software company operating in fraud prevention and authentication for banking and payments. Profitable, well-backed, and investing heavily in product innovation and growth. International footprint, remote-first ways of working, and a leadership team that expects high standards and clear execution.

Why this role exists

India is the fastest-growing region and the current HR setup is not scaling with hiring volume and leadership needs.

The business needs a more senior HRBP who can influence engineering leaders, bring structure to recruitment and talent practices, and improve consistency across the employee lifecycle.

This is a newly created role, designed to add strategic depth and day to day execution power in-region.

About the role

You will be the senior HR partner for India, supporting circa 120 FTEs today and growing, largely across technology and product innovation teams.

You will lead end-to-end HR delivery, while also building leadership capability, improving hiring discipline, and strengthening the employee experience.

You will manage and develop a regional HR Generalist/Recruiter, and partner closely with global HR leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with India and global leaders on org design, workforce planning, leadership coaching, and talent strategy
  • Drive performance management, talent reviews, development planning, and succession conversations
  • Lead employee relations and complex advisory cases with strong judgement and consistency
  • Bring structure to recruitment, including intake discipline, hiring manager alignment, and process adherence
  • Coach leaders on effective people management, feedback, and decision-making
  • Improve HR operations in-region, including data accuracy, policy application, and programme delivery
  • Use HR metrics to identify trends in attrition, engagement, and workforce planning, then act on them
  • Lead engagement and culture initiatives locally, working closely with global programmes
  • Develop and upskill the regional HR team member, raising quality, pace, and consistency

Ideal candidate profile

  • Strong HRBP or HR leadership experience in India, ideally supporting technology, product, or engineering organisations
  • Credibility and confidence partnering with senior technical leaders, able to influence and challenge when needed
  • Proven strength in recruitment leadership and process design, particularly for technical hiring
  • Prior people management experience, not a first-time manager
  • Solid grounding in India employment law and hands-on employee relations
  • Comfortable operating in a global environment, communicating clearly with international stakeholders
  • Practical, sleeves-rolled-up approach, you can diagnose problems and fix them, not just advise

Location and working style

  • India-based role, with Bangalore preferred due to stakeholder proximity
  • Open to other India locations if you can travel into Bangalore regularly
  • Remote-first environment, you need to be effective without relying on a traditional office setup
  • Regional travel expected, details to be confirmed during process

Why join

  • High impact seat, owning the people agenda for the company's fastest-growing region
  • Direct exposure to global HR leadership and senior engineering stakeholders
  • Genuine opportunity to improve hiring quality and operating discipline, not just run BAU HR
  • Broad remit across HRBP, talent, performance, ER, culture, and analytics
  • Strong runway for expanded international scope over time as coverage needs evolve
  • A role suited to someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the chance to build
