We are looking for a hands-on Ecommerce SEO Specialist who can independently manage and execute SEO for a growing Shopify store.
What You'll Do
- Manage technical SEO, including crawlability, indexation, canonical tags, sitemaps, redirects, duplicate content and faceted navigation.
- Optimise Shopify product, collection and content pages for rankings, product discovery and organic revenue.
- Conduct keyword research and maintain a clear keyword-to-page strategy.
- Improve title tags, meta descriptions, headings, product content, collection copy, FAQs, image alt text and internal links.
- Work directly inside Shopify to publish and implement SEO improvements.
- Audit and monitor structured data, including Product, Offer, Breadcrumb, Article, shipping and return-policy markup.
- Review Google Search Console, GA4 and Merchant Center to identify issues and growth opportunities.
- Improve consistency across Shopify, product feeds, landing pages and structured data.
- Create SEO content briefs and write or optimise short-form website content.
- Support AEO and GEO through clear answers, comparison content, sizing guidance and authoritative information.
- Identify relevant backlink, digital PR and brand-mention opportunities.
- Publish and repurpose selected organic social content to support SEO content discovery, website traffic and brand visibility.
- Create clear development tickets for code-related changes and validate fixes after implementation.
- Track performance across organic clicks, non-brand traffic, conversions and revenue.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in e-commerce.
- Strong practical knowledge of Shopify product pages, collection pages, themes and website settings.
- Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush or Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog or a similar crawler.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, internal linking and structured data.
- Ability to research, execute, test and report SEO improvements.
- Good Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Clear writing skills for collection content, FAQs, metadata and website copy.
- Ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to developers.
- A commercial mindset focused on traffic quality, product discovery, conversions and revenue.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Shopify Liquid.
- Experience with Google Merchant Center and product feeds.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed Insights.
- Experience with digital PR, backlink outreach or content-led link building.
- Familiarity with CRO and e-commerce customer journeys.
