We're looking for a Jr Data Strategist for TBWA Disruption Accelerator , housed as part of the Creative Strategy Capability at Omnicom Global Solutions.
About the department
We are a nimble, entrepreneurial strategy shop within Omnicom, purpose-built to strategically accelerate the flagship creative agencies of the Omnicom Advertising Group including DDB, TBWA and BBDO. Our mission is to craft world-class creative strategies for the world's most iconic brands, in partnership with top-tier talent across the globe.
Skills:
Whilst this is not a technical role (i.e. you won't be writing code or building regression models yourself), the ideal candidate will be confident working with numbers with a good aptitude in picking up data tools. This role isn't about stating facts but unearthing gems of insight that help win pitches and retains clients:
- An open-mindset and a willingness to learn,
- Experience with the suite of syndicated research tools (e.g. GWI, YouGov, SimilarWeb etc) alongside social listening and social performance tools is preferred
- Problem solving when the data isn't obviously available. Understanding and investigating the open source and 3rd data landscape
- Ready to translate data into disruptive insights and supporting more senior members of the team to create world class RTBs that offer our markets practical solutions – not lofty ambitions with no substance
- Working closely with the analyst team to ensure that everyone gets what they need to get the best work done
Experience needed:
We are looking for someone who is confident within a data environment and comfortable with not-knowing everything but ALWAYS pushing to find out the answer. This isn't a behind the scenes role, we are looking for someone who is willing to speak up and hold their own even at this level
On a practical level, the ideal candidate will have
- 1-4 years of experience in strategy and/or data.
- a demonstrable interest in the creative and data worlds (e.g. music, photography, painting, etc) as well as a fascination in where these worlds meet with one another
- excellent presentation and writing skills
- attention to the tiniest detail and will care about the work they produce - clients hire to get the best quality of work and we can not afford to be careless or inaccurate
- an ability to work with Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- experience using data to learn about people, test theories and surface meaningful insights
