Role Overview
Nature Morte is seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Associate to oversee and drive the gallery's communications, public relations, and media outreach. This role is central to shaping the public narrative of the gallery, strengthening visibility for its artists and exhibitions, and ensuring a consistent, articulate brand voice across all platforms.
The Communications Lead will lead media strategy, manage press relationships, guide content development, and work closely with internal teams, artists, and curators to position Nature Morte as a leading voice in contemporary art in India and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all gallery communications across Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp invitations, Mailchimp newsletters, and the website.
Adapt and edit press releases/curatorial texts for use keeping the audiences of the aforementioned platforms in mind.
Strategize the monthly communications calendar for synced outreach.
Manage press communications, including media lists, pitching, follow-ups, coverage tracking, and preparation of press kits.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather and verify information.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong writing and editing skills with familiarity in contemporary art required
Background in art history, arts management, history required
Working knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, and Mailchimp.
Preferred Candidate
Has prior experience working at an arts institution.
