Job Description - Manager (Quality Control) - (Commercial/Interior Fit-Out/Construction Projects)

Location: Pune

Experience: 5-7 years in quality control for commercial interior fit-out or construction projects.

Role Summary:

The Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring superior workmanship, adherence to specifications, and consistent execution standards across commercial interior fit-out projects. The role involves conducting site inspections, managing quality documentation, overseeing snag and NCR processes, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and surprise quality inspections at commercial interior project sites.
• Verify execution as per approved drawings, BOQs, and material specifications.
• Monitor workmanship standards for carpentry, finishing, electrical, plumbing, civil, and joinery works.
• Prepare and manage snag lists, checklists, inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ensure timely closure of quality observations in coordination with site engineers and contractors.
• Review and verify mock-ups, sample approvals, and finishing quality at site.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and site quality protocols.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations teams for corrective and preventive actions.
• Support project handover by ensuring completion of all required quality documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of commercial interior execution processes, materials, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Hands-on experience in site quality inspections and snag management.
• Excellent observation, reporting, and coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and strong quality consciousness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-7 years in quality control for commercial interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field (preferred).
