Role Description:
This role demands a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can drive both creative design and technical execution across interior-focused projects with supporting architectural responsibilities . The Senior Design Architect will manage cross-functional teams, lead design development, and ensure project excellence from concept to completion.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- B.Arch or M.Arch with 10+ years of overall experience and a minimum of 5+ years of specific experience in leading teams for high-end interior design and execution.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in residential & commercial interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Should have sound experience in handling the premium & luxury clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead conceptual and schematic design development for integrated interior projects
- Review, refine, and finalize design outputs to align with client vision, project feasibility, and execution standards.
- Establish and update internal design standards, guidelines, and documentation processes.
- Oversee a multidisciplinary team, including designers, factory teams, and site coordinators.
- Prepare project schedules, assign design tasks, and monitor workflows across design, production, and execution stages.
- Communicate with clients to address escalations and ensure high satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with external consultants (Project Architects, MEP, structural, landscape, etc.) to ensure integrated design delivery.
- Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to design intent, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Resolve on-site design and execution issues in collaboration with project managers and contractors.
- Actively participate in material mock-up reviews, sample approvals, and vendor coordination.
- Review and approve detailed working drawings, execution details, and BOQs.
- Lead resource planning, team recruitment, and vendor evaluation processes.
- Prepare budget estimates and feasibility studies for upcoming projects.
- Attend client meetings, support business development, and close sales for key design projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Arch or M.Arch with 10+ years of overall experience and a minimum of 5+ years of specific experience in leading teams for high-end interior design and execution.
- Proven expertise in both interior and architectural design (interiors-focused).
- Strong leadership, team, project & time management skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, detailing, and site coordination.
- Ability to manage clients, lead presentations, and handle escalations effectively.
- Must be located in Hyderabad or willing to relocate.
