Innovapptive is a category-defining SaaS company building the world's most advanced AI-powered Connected Worker Platform for the industrial sector. Headquartered in Houston, TX, and backed by Vista Equity Partners, Innovapptive is on a mission to reimagine how industrial work gets done — connecting frontline workers, back-office systems, and assets in real time to drive higher safety, reliability, and productivity.
Our platform is trusted by some of the world's largest enterprises — including Shell, Hess, Cenovus Energy, W.R.Grace, Westlake Chemicals, UNICEF, Kimberly Clark, Scott Miracle Gro, and Newmont Mining to name a few, and across chemicals, energy, mining, and manufacturing industries. These customers have achieved tangible, hard-dollar results, such as:
- Over $40 million in annual EBITDA savings at a single enterprise.
- 10× frontline productivity improvements through mobile-first and AI-enabled workflows.
- 15–20% maintenance cost reductions and significant uptime gains across plants and sites.
Innovapptive is recognized by leading industry analysts for its differentiated value creation model:
- Named a Leader in the Frost & Sullivan Industrial Connected Worker Radar.
- Featured by Gartner in 'Connected Factory Worker' research and the Hype Cycle for Manufacturing Operations Strategy.
- Cited by LNS Research for delivering 3–5× greater value than point solutions through unified OT–IT execution, AI/vision innovation, and field-proven ROI.
Our growth is backed by Tiger Global Management and Vista Equity Partners, one of the world's premier software investors, known for scaling high-performance SaaS companies. Together, we are building the next-generation AI Powered Connected Worker Platform, combining cutting-edge technologies — SLM's, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Orchestration — into a unified system that transforms plant operations globally.
Today, with over 300+ employees across the U.S., India, and ANZ, Innovapptive stands at a pivotal inflection point: with an ambition to scale to $100M ARR within the next 3-4 years by industrializing every aspect of our product, engineering, and customer delivery systems.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Solution Architect – Industrial SaaS who combines deep problem-solving capability, business-first thinking, and technical architecture leadership.
This is a customer-facing, delivery-aligned role that bridges business outcomes, digital architecture, and system reliability. The Solution Architect acts as the #1 problem solver and technical escalation point— ensuring that every Innovapptive implementation achieves fast adoption, seamless reliability, and measurable value realization.
You will work hand-in-hand with Solution Consultants (domain experts), Implementation Leads, and Engineering to design resilient architectures, address adoption-blocking non-functional requirements, and drive enterprise-grade solution performance.
How You Will Make An Impact.
1. Business-First Problem Solving
- Act as the customer's trusted technology advisor to diagnose and resolve roadblocks impacting adoption, reliability, or performance.
- Translate frontline pain (e.g., sync issues, latency, connectivity challenges, poor UX) into actionable technical and process resolutions.
- Lead RCA sessions to identify architecture or configuration issues slowing time-to-value.
- Ensure all solutions are designed to drive quantifiable business outcomes in safety, reliability, and cost take-out.
2. Architecture Leadership & NFR Ownership
- Own end-to-end architecture for customer implementations — including security, scalability, performance, and offline reliability.
- Define and validate NFRs: Wi-Fi resilience, offline sync strategy, SSO (SAML, OAuth2), API and integration architecture, and deployment models (public/private cloud).
- Partner with customer IT and engineering teams to ensure solution readiness and compliance with enterprise standards (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Create detailed architecture artifacts: solution blueprints, data flow diagrams, API integration maps, and configuration matrices.
3. Adoption Acceleration & Value Realization
- Measure and drive improvements in crash-free sessions, sync reliability, latency, and uptime to ensure world-class user experience.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants to link architecture quality with operational KPIs (e.g., PM/CM mix, backlog, schedule compliance).
- Participate in Executive SteerCo sessions to present technical risk mitigations, adoption progress, and reliability metrics.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the bridge between Professional Services, Product Engineering, and Customer IT, ensuring fast issue resolution and proactive design governance.
- Provide hands-on technical mentorship to implementation consultants and engineers.
- Champion architecture governance across all customer programs, driving consistency and reusability.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities through field-derived insights.
5. Continuous Improvement & CoE Contribution
- Contribute to the Solution Architecture Center of Excellence by developing design accelerators, troubleshooting frameworks, and NFR playbooks.
- Institutionalize best practices in reliability, performance tuning, and scalability.
- Support internal readiness initiatives and coach teams on architecture-driven delivery excellence.
What You Bring to the Team
- 8–15 years of experience in Industrial SaaS, EAM, or Connected Worker Platforms (SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Oracle eAM, or Infor EAM).
- Proven expertise in designing cloud-native, mobile-first architectures with offline sync, API orchestration, and enterprise-grade security.
- Strong grasp of maintenance and reliability processes, and ability to translate them into digital solutions delivering tangible business value.
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services, MuleSoft/Boomi/Logic Apps, and API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
- Deep understanding of non-functional requirements — performance, scalability, data privacy, availability, and user experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking with strong executive communication skills.
- Experience in Agile SaaS delivery models with distributed onshore/offshore teams.
Preferred Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Certifications preferred:
- AWS/Azure Solutions Architect
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks
- CMRP, CAMA, or equivalent reliability certification (highly valued)
- PMP or SAFe Agile
