Reports to

EVP, Business & Commercial Development

Job purpose :

The corporate finance & strategy manager is a key member of Ocugen’s Commercial and Strategy team. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models, supporting the long-term strategic planning and partnering with commercial teams to assess business opportunities and drive financial performance. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

This individual will work closely with commercial and business development teams. This role reports into the EVP, Business & Commercial Development. Must be able to deliver on tight timelines

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Modeling : Create, maintain, and continuously improve corporate financial models to forecast company performance, support decision-making, and assess potential scenarios.
  • Strategic Planning : Partner with senior leadership to support the company’s long-term strategic planning process through data analysis, financial projections, and performance tracking.
  • Commercial Support :
  • Contribute to commercial planning, including pricing strategy, revenue forecasts, and cost analysis.
  • Support project timelines and evaluate the financial implications of new business initiatives, partnerships, and investments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize profitability and resource allocation.
  • Performance Analysis : Prepare financial reports, KPIs, and variance analyses to explain performance trends and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams across finance, operations, sales, and strategy to ensure alignment between financial goals and business activities.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis : Conduct financial due diligence and scenario analysis to support executive decision-making and special projects.

Qualifications :

  • MBA or PGDM from reputed Institute
  • 8–10 years of experience in similar jobs with Biopharamaceutical companies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Working conditions :

    This position operates in an office setting, in person. Job may additionally require incumbent to be available outside of these hours to handle priority business needs.

    Physical requirements :

    This is a largely sedentary role.
