Job description

Automation Engineer(Heavy Scripting)

Onsite (WFO), Bangalore, India

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation.
  • Expert proficiency in Python for network automation, scripting, and application development.
  • Extensive experience working with REST APIs for network device configuration, orchestration, and service integration.
  • DevOps / CI / CD : Hands-on experience designing and implementing CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure or network code using industry-standard tools.
  • Networking Fundamentals : Solid understanding of core networking concepts (TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, Firewalls) and security principles

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) automation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with other IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry, such as Medical Devices or Healthcare.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) principles, architecture, and common vendor platforms.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, Python-related certifications, or DevOps certifications).
