As the Director of Food & Beverage Operations , role combines strategic planning, market development, and operational leadership to establish a scalable model that delivers exceptional guest experiences, innovative menu offerings, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in hospitality or retail expansion, deep knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to adapt global brand standards to the local Indian market.
Market Entry & Expansion
- Lead the end-to-end rollout of coffee shop and vending machine operations across multiple locations in India.
- Conduct market research to understand regional preferences, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Identify and secure optimal real estate locations in partnership with development teams.
- Build scalable systems, processes, and operational frameworks for multi-unit growth.
Menu Development & Local Adaptation
Design coffee and food menus that balance global brand identity with local consumer tastes and dietary preferences.Partner with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients, ensuring sustainability and cost efficiency.Stay ahead of coffee, beverage, and food trends in both global and Indian markets.Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations across all outlets, ensuring consistent implementation of brand standards, service protocols, and customer engagement practices.Establish SOPs for training, inventory management, and service excellence.Drive innovation in store formats, service models, and customer experience.Financial & Business Management
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for all coffee shops and vending machines.Implement cost-control strategies while delivering high-quality products and services.Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability and efficiency.Brand Building & Marketing
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop launch strategies, promotional campaigns, and events tailored to the Indian market.Enhance brand visibility and recognition through creative marketing, community engagement, and partnerships.Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to refine brand positioning.Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and lead local management and staff, fostering a guest-first, high-performance culture.Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities.Build a leadership pipeline to support rapid expansion.Compliance & Standards
Ensure full compliance with Indian health, safety, and labor regulations.Conduct regular quality reviews to uphold operational and brand standards.
Qualifications
Proven 10+ years of experience in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage operations, preferably in multi-unit or international expansion.Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.Expertise in food and beverage trends, with a passion for coffee culture and guest experience.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze performance, and implement cost efficiencies.Deep understanding of the Indian consumer market, cultural nuances, and regulatory environment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.About The Company
