Key Account Manager – Imports

Position Overview :

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Key Account Manager – Imports to lead the demand and distribution of imported fruits across North India. This is a high-impact sales role focused on building market demand, scaling key accounts, and growing import penetration in the region.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the North Indian fruit trade ecosystem, proven sales and account management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth by effectively placing imported fruit products across relevant markets and customer segments.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Demand Generation

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to build demand for imported fruits in North India.
  • Identify and onboard large buyers, wholesale accounts, and key trade partners.
  • Drive volume growth, repeat orders, and strong product placements in priority markets.
  • Monitor price trends and market movement to optimize sell-through and profitability.

Key Account Management

  • Manage key trade relationships and build deep partnerships with high-potential buyers.
  • Solve for service levels, order cycles, and account-specific needs to retain and grow accounts.
  • Lead negotiations around pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Market Intelligence & Execution

  • Stay abreast of market demand patterns, fruit preferences, and regional competition.
  • Work closely with the sourcing and category teams to align supply with demand.
  • Share ground-level insights to inform product mix, pricing strategy, and supply planning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with logistics, finance, and category teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Track and manage receivables and ensure commercial hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with import documentation, product quality, and service standards.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • 7–9 years of experience in B2B sales or fruit trade (experience with imported fruits preferred).
  • Strong understanding of North India’s trading hubs.
  • Proven track record in sales, demand generation, and key account growth.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
  • High ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort with travel and fieldwork.
