Position Overview
Skilled Senior Network & Security Engineer (6–9 years’ experience). The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Cisco Wireless (C9800 Controllers) and Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (with Panorama), which will be the primary focus of daily operations. The candidate will also support global networking initiatives, manage incidents through ServiceNow, and contribute to regional infrastructure projects.
Key Skills & Experience
- 6–9 years of professional experience in enterprise networking / security.
- Strong hands-on expertise with :
- Cisco Wireless (C9800 controllers & APs)
- Palo Alto NGFW (with Panorama)
- Familiarity with SilverPeak SD-WAN.
- Practical experience with monitoring tools (Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Infoblox, etc.).
- Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and VPN solutions.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow as an ITSM tool.
- Strong troubleshooting and vendor coordination skills.
Core Responsibilities
Network & Wireless Operations
Administer and maintain Cisco Wireless Infrastructure (C9800 controllers and access points), ensuring performance, stability, and scalability.Perform wireless configuration, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades.Collaborate with vendors on RMA, bug fixes, and feature requests.SD-WAN & Network Infrastructure
Support and administer SilverPeak SD-WAN solutions.Assist with LAN / WAN design, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and migrations across vendors.Apply patches and firmware updates to Cisco LAN switches and wireless controllers (Catalyst 9000 and Nexus 9K).Firewall & Security Operations
Manage and operate Palo Alto NGFW with Panorama : rule configuration, audits, firmware upgrades, and policy cleanups.Act as first responder for security incidents reported by the Cybersecurity team.Maintain VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL, GRE)Radware WAF and Load Balancer (AppWall) administration, including certificate renewal, application migration support, policy tuning, and lifecycle management.Monitoring & Incident Management
Monitor network and wireless performance using Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Infoblox, Cacti, Smokeping and other enterprise tools.Work with ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management, ensuring timely updates and escalations.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network / security issues, escalating as needed.Collaboration & Documentation
Provide weekly status updates to regional / global teams and collaborate with vendors.Maintain accurate process documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical standards.Preferred Qualifications
Certifications : CCNA / CCNP(Wireless or Security), PCNSA / PCNSE.Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management).Experience in project coordination and RFP preparationNice to Have
Experience with automation / scripting for wireless / firewall tasks with Backbox.Exposure to Radware WAF, smart office workplaces, and disaster recovery planning.Strong presentation and documentation skills for management reporting.
