Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Semiconductor Physics & Quantum Computing Engineer with a strong foundation in Physics and Electronics to join our advanced research and development team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, modeling, and optimization of semiconductor devices and quantum systems, playing a critical role in driving innovation in next-generation computing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop semiconductor devices for quantum computing applications.
  • Apply principles of solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, and electronic device theory to model and optimize qubits, transistors, and related components.
  • Work with fabrication teams on nanoscale device design, lithography, and testing.
  • Develop and implement simulation models for quantum circuits and semiconductor behavior under various operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (materials science, cryogenics, electronics, and software) to integrate devices into scalable quantum architectures.
  • Conduct experiments to validate theoretical models and refine device performance.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in semiconductor physics, quantum computing platforms (superconducting, spin qubits, photonic), and cryogenic systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering , or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Strong foundation in semiconductor physics, quantum mechanics, and electronic device design .
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication techniques (lithography, etching, deposition) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with modeling / simulation tools such as COMSOL, SPICE, MATLAB, or Python-based frameworks .
  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts, including qubits, quantum gates, coherence, and error correction .
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments and with lab instrumentation (e.g., cryostats, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in Python based implementation of quantum frameworks.
