About the Role :
As a Data Research Analyst at Morningstar, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining a wide range of operational, performance, and portfolio data. You will ensure data accuracy and quality while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain data integrity. This role requires you to effectively manage your performance, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the timely delivery of operational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collect and manage investment data using Morningstar systems, ensuring data is timely, complete, and accurate to meet business goals and quality standards.
- Take ownership of data quality control to ensure consistency and compliance with client and product requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with asset management companies, insurance providers, and other data vendors to ensure data integrity.
- Develop a deep understanding of datasets, policies, and processes for the regions under your coverage to support decision-making.
- Participate actively in team discussions, methodology reviews, and meetings, raising concerns, proposing solutions, and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Drive continuous process improvements through quality initiatives, utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and automation tools.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, product, and technical teams to resolve client data issues efficiently.
- Work with global teams on process management, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Promote an automation mindset by identifying opportunities for process enhancements in collaboration with leadership.
- Maintain the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines and pressure during peak periods.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Statistics with a solid understanding of fund investment data.1 - 2 years of experience in data analysis, research, or a related role. Experience in Capital Markets and the secondary market is preferred.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with database management systems (SQL) is highly desirable, with advanced users being preferred.Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). A passion for learning and deploying solutions, especially in AI / GenAI technologies, is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication and reporting abilities.Flexibility to work in shifts as required by business needs.Working Conditions :
