Test Automation Engineer

About the Role

Ensure quality, reliability, and usability of TourIQ, a B2B AI-powered SaaS platform. Validate functionality across APIs, dashboards, data pipelines, and business workflows. Starts with manual + API testing with a clear path to automated test suites by Month 3. We teach automation.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & UI Testing

• Manual test all dashboard views and user workflows end-to-end
• Test onboarding flows, notifications, and responsive design across devices

API & Data Testing

• Test API endpoints with Postman;
  validate data sync accuracy and error recovery
• SQL queries for data validation in PostgreSQL

Security & Access Control

• Test multi-tenant data isolation;
  validate role-based access controls
• Validate authentication flows: login, MFA, password reset, session management

AI Feature Validation

• Validate AI-generated outputs display correctly and behave within expected boundaries

Automation Ramp-Up (Month 3+)

• Begin building automated API test suites for critical paths;
  build regression suites

Process

• Test cases, test data, bug reports with clear reproduction steps;
  release testing;
  collaboration with devs/designers

Must-Have

• ~1 year in QA / software testing;
  strong manual testing fundamentals
• Basic API testing (Postman or similar);
  clear test cases and bug reports
• Understanding of SDLC and QA processes;
  attention to detail

Good to Have

• B2B/dashboard applications;
  SQL;
  automation awareness (Selenium, Cypress, pytest — we teach);
  responsive web testing;
  Git
