Department: Accounts& Finance Department Reporting To: Finance Manager Working Days-Monday-Friday Shift Timing-Flexible to work on either Singapore(7am(IST) onwards (8.5 hours)/ or Australian(5am(IST) onwards (8.5 hours)/Europe-12 pm(IST)(8.5 hours) shift(Any one ) Work Mode-Hybrid(initially) The Financial Accountant will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the Accounts Department and managing the company’s financial affairs. The role involves end-to-end financial accounting, budgeting support, cost analysis, financial and management reporting, audit coordination, and statutory compliance. The position requires strong hands-on accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily bank reconciliation and monthly credit card reconciliation. Verify, review, and book employee expense reports and G&A expenses. Maintain fixed asset accounting, including depreciation calculations and postings. Prepare weekly cash flow projections and monitor liquidity. Support and supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. Review and follow up on AR and AP ageing, including weekly discussions with the Sales team and Country Manager. Ensure compliance with local tax laws including GST, VAT, Corporate Tax, and WHT, and reconcile trial balances with tax returns. Perform balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments, accruals, and provisions. Prepare month-end closing activities and management reports. Assist in internal and external audits, including documentation and audit queries. Provide support during budgeting, forecasting, and special finance projects. Handle other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy / Finance. CA (Chartered Accountant)/ICWA - pursuing preferred. Experience 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the freight forwarding / logistics industry. Strong experience in financial accounting, planning, and analysis (FP&A). Prior exposure to air and sea freight operations and shipping terminology is an advantage. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software / ERP systems. Ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems and tools.
