Job Description – Executive (Import) Department: Operations Location: Bangalore – Kasturi Nagar Reporting to: Manager – Imports 🔍 Role Overview The Import Executive will be responsible for managing complete import activities, including documentation, customs coordination, tracking shipments, and maintaining MIS reports. This role requires excellent follow-up skills, strong understanding of EXIM policies, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments. 🛠 Key Responsibilities Prepare and verify import documentation like invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Ensure compliance with Customs, DGFT, and EXIM policies . Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders for timely shipment clearance. Use H-Card authorization to visit customs offices/ports for documentation & cargo inspection. Track shipment status to ensure on-time delivery without demurrage or detention. Verify HS codes, duty structures, and exemption notifications for correct duty assessment. Maintain records for duty payments, freight charges, and clearance costs . Prepare and update MIS reports, registers, and license utilization data . Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and stores for material planning and shipment updates. Maintain organized import files for audits and internal review. 🎓 Skills, Qualifications & Experience HSC / Graduate (preferred fields: logistics, supply chain, commerce). Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs procedures, and EXIM policy . Good communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook .
