Educational Qualifications - B.E / B. Tech / M. Tech / M.Sc.IT / Computers / MBA

Experience level - 10+ years and above

Location - Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Notice period - immediate to serving notice period

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled UFT (Unified Functional Testing) Test Engineer to join our team. The UFT Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring high-quality software releases. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in test automation, test strategy, and quality assurance (QA) processes, along with strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of automation engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Framework Development:

• Design and implement UFT automation frameworks for web and desktop applications.
• Establish best practices for test automation processes.

Test Planning & Execution:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and automation scripts using UFT.
• Execute and maintain automated test scripts to validate software functionality.
• Perform regression testing and integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand testing requirements.
• Ensure alignment of test automation strategies with business goals.

Defect Management & Reporting:

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or Bugzilla.
• Analyze test results and generate reports to communicate findings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Micro Focus UFT/QTP for test automation.
• Strong knowledge of VBScript and automation frameworks.
• Experience in integrating UFT with ALM, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of API testing, SQL queries, and performance testing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: ISTQB, UFT certification is a plus.
• Experience with Additional Tools: Selenium, LoadRunner, or other test automation tools.
