Assistant Financial Controller (12 Month Contract)

Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations and controls
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary and insights
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately, with prompt resolution of reconciling items
• Contribute to the year-end close process and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit
• Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Support the development and submission of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and performance insights
• Maintain high standards of financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (CA/CMA preferred)
• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
• Prior experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is highly desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
