Data Lead - RDSPP

Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Support in defining, implementing the information management processes in alignment with Project objectives, ensuring accurate, consistent, and accessible project data across all engineering disciplines.
• Shall be aware of RDS-PP (Reference Designation System for Power Plant) in accordance with IEC-81346, in conjunction with the VGB standard, for the systematic classification of systems and assets within power plant engineering.
• Support for all project requirements related to RDS-PP and Object Type Library (OTL); built and led a cross-functional team comprising data coordinators and engineering discipline focal points to drive the successful implementation of RDS-PP and OTL standards throughout the EPC project lifecycle.
• Ensure / update Asset tagging and numbering philosophies into a comprehensive and practical project RDS-PP Plan, ensuring seamless alignment with contractual and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with the Corporate IT team to evaluate market solutions and successfully implement the “Doc-Console” application, enabling tag hot spotting within engineering and supplier documents to support asset register creation and enhance commissioning and completion activities. This initiative significantly reduced manual effort while improving data integrity and overall project efficiency.
• Develop a unified Physical Labelling Guideline, transforming diverse client inputs into a clear, standardized document governing physical asset labelling across the project.
• Collaborate with project quality team, suppliers, and subcontractors to implement physical labelling requirements, resolving technical and operational challenges to ensure full project compliance.
• Ensured tag and data consistency across models, drawings, documents, physical labelling and specifications to deliver accurate as-built 3D BIM models containing both geometric and alphanumeric information, thereby enabling the client to effectively utilize the models for facility operations and maintenance.
